Trams 231-240, designated GT-6, were originally delivered by Duwag as six-axlers in 1967/8 and extended by the addition of a centre section in 1982. This made them similar to the trams of 1975 which were eight-axlers  (241-248, designated GT-8). The ex-Hagen trams (270-281, designated GT-H), brought in due to the shortage of money for additional new trams can be distinguised by the "flat" windscreens, an alternative Duwag design popular with Hagen and also Bochum/Gelsenkirchen, rather than the more familiar sloping recessed screens which were a distinguishing feature of Duwag's production. GT-H trams can be seen in photo 03 and in the background in 04 and 05.

Tram 291, along with trailer car 292, both dating from 1956 was newly established in its party tram role 1984
