The ship is on dry land at Sugiez and in the hands of the SGV (the Lucerne ship operators) who have been contracted to undertake the renovation work. All the non-original deckhouses have now been removed. Replating work is now taking place following ultrasonic testing and over 50% will be replaced. The paddle boxes have been removed and new aluminium boxes will be fabricated for weight saving reasons. The work is still on schedule and it is hoped that PS Neuchatel can be re-steamed in 2010.
