PS Comet (II) of 1821

Beam engine  by Duncan McArthur of Glasgow. It served in the vessel until October 1825 when the ship was sunk in a collision off Gourock on the Clyde. The hull was salvaged and rebuilt as a sailing schooner. The engines remained with the original builders and may have been reused but this is unclear.
