Built for the North British SP’s Craigendoran - Rothesay route
From 1898 Redgauntlet was normally assigned to a cruising role
Transferred to the Galloway Saloon Steam Packet Co in May 1909
Sailed on the Firth of Forth until moved to Grimsby for war service as a minesweeper
In July 1917 she was sold outright to the Admiralty
In April 1919 she was sold to French owners and registered in Algeria.
