Built for the Southampton, Isle of Wight & South of England Royal Mail Steam Packet Co.
Reboilered in 1885
Chartered to the Bournemouth, Swanage & Poole Steam Packet Co in September 1886
Stationed at Bournemouth 1911-1914 and in 1920
Requisitioned as a patrol vessel in August 1914 but returned to her owners in early 1915, thus escaping wartime duty.
Not requisitioned during World War II but made one trip to Dunkirk but found no troops to return with.
Withdrawn from passenger duty in November 1949.
Held as a reserve cargo steamer, but was little used and was sold for scrapping at Northam in 1952.
