Rotschuo pier in 1999, seen
from MV Rigi. The pier was opened in May 1998 and primarily serves a
hotel on the steep lakeside between Vitznau and Gersau. The cost of
extending the existing landing stage to make it suitable for calls by
larger SGV vessels was covered by the hotel. A limited number of
services call at Rotschuo, but included in 1999 the 09:38 (08:32 from
Luzern) "Walker's Express - Weg der Schweiz" operated by MV
Rigi
After the 2010 season, Rotschuo Pier disappeared from the SGV timetable
