Above : Express steamer Helios, the final paddle steamer built for the DDSG and the ultimate design before diesel-electric paddlers Stadt Wien and Stadt Passau of 1939/40.

Engines : Compound Diagonal
Dimensions : 78 m x 9.0 / 17.4 m

Converted to oil firing in 1936
Sunk near Hainburg in 1945
Raised by the Soviet occupation forces and rebuilt at Korneuburg
Renamed Kaukusus when taken over by Soviet owners.
Originally sailed on the Danube but moved to the USSR in the mid 1950s and renamed Don
Ran aground in 1962 and broke her back when attempts were made to lift her
